On February 9, 2024, Burgess BioPower LLC and Berlin Station LLC (together, the “debtors”) filed chapter 11 bankruptcy cases in the District of Delaware (Judge Silverstein).

Burgess BioPower is a renewable energy company with a 75-megawatt biomass-fueled power plant in Berlin, New Hampshire. The company delivers more than 500k megawatt hours of baseload power to the New England power grid annually, powering 67k homes or 10% of New Hampshire’s total homes. The power generated results in $70mm of annual economic activity in New Hampshire.
